Yaeger students have an 88% passing rate for first-timers. Considering that the overall passing rate is below 50%, this is a great benefit. Why is the passing rate so high? Will using the Yaeger CPA study guide really give you a better chance of passing the CPA exam? 6) CON: The price.
The Yaeger CPA review costs over $1,700, which isn't cheap (certain firms qualify for a discount). Sure, it is cheaper than some of the competitors (Becker) but it still costs a lot. So if you are on a budget, or don't get sponsored by your employer, you'll need to pay a lot. But at least you know you're getting one of the best CPA study guides out there.
7) CON: It is "old school" in some ways.
Yes, this can be a good thing. But not in every way. Unlike a big company that can produce movie-quality videos, afford to make changes when there are small errors, or utilize a large customer service center, Yaeger operates on a smaller scale and is not always perfect. Sometimes the teaching appears "old school" and is not as flashy or entertaining as it could be. But then again, if you've ever done business with a large company, you know how that can be. And Yaeger works, and that's what is most important!
Overall, the Yaeger CPA review course is probably the best program you can get. It is comprehensive, well designed, and a good value.
